Four types of blood pressure readings
1) Systolic reading: Below 120 mm Hg
Diastolic reading: Below 80 mm Hg
Category to which it falls: It’s normal blood pressure

2) Systolic reading: Between 120-139 mm Hg
Diastolic reading: Between 80-89 mm Hg
Category to which it falls: Its prehypertension
What one should do? : You should maintain a healthy lifestyle. Try to incorporate some exercise. Take less salt in your food and avoid heavy drinking and quit smoking.
3) Systolic reading: Between 140-159 mm Hg
Diastolic reading: Between 90-99 mm Hg
Category to which it falls: Its stage 1 hypertension.
What one should do? : You should seek the advice of a doctor for medications. Maintain a healthy lifestyle along with physical workouts. Take less salt in your food and avoid heavy drinking and quit smoking.
4) Systolic reading: 160 or more mm Hg
Diastolic reading: More than 100 mm Hg
Category to which it falls: Its stage 2 hypertension.
What one should do? : You should seek the advice of a doctor for medications. Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Take care of your diet and activities, try to keep stress free and give up smoking and drinking
