The Best way to become ill.

Homeless DinnerThe best way to be guaranteed you will be ill anywhere in the world is to become and stay poor.

Illness and health trends are measured in many ways: -

Which type of person is more likely to be affected by a certain virus?

Which gender is attacked by a certain disease?

Which age type or gender type has more or less heart attacks or strokes or cancer?

But in any country in the world – its a given the people, the group, the type, that has the most disease is the poor.

If you are poor ,struggling for income you will have more sickness, more accidents, more ‘bad luck’.

And it cost us the tax payers a fortune to have all these sick and poor people around.

They did a study in Las Vegas and found 1 (ONE) homeless man cost them over 1 million dollars in 911 calls and health care and cell time and on and on. One Million dollars!

They found it was a lot cheaper to build low income housing for the homeless, as a group, that support one man

So there’s a couple of possible solutions to save us some money and healthcare costs.

1) We could ‘cull’ the poor.

Give out licenses and shoot them till theres none left. Maybe hire some nice people from Tanzania or Dafur.  (however  a little dangerous – who knows whos going to be called ‘poor’ once you have a licence).

Or theres always Euthanasia (killing without the person’s permission) . Euthanasia is legal in a few States and Belgium and the Netherlands. Of course the problem is where do you stop.

Famous case in Oregon State where an elderly person was in hospital with cancer. The Insurance company wouldn’t pay for chemotherapy treatment as there were no guarantees it would work. But they would pay and did pay for medical assisted suicide. Always good to know your options once you go to hospital isnt it? And that your friendly insurance company will pay to have you killed.

2) Then there’s the course done in a few studies – one in Manitoba Canada where they took a small farming community and agreed for 5 years to top up anyone’s  income that fell below subsistence level.

In that community – disease and sickness numbers fell. Health visits declined. More children stayed at school to graduate (they could afford to) and productivity increased. (However after 5 years the next Government didn’t need the votes, so abandoned that project.

Also in Canada there is a home for unwed mothers ( mostly teenagers). They are given room and board. However the Government (read tax payer) then spends millions of dollars, millions, tracking down or trying to track down the fathers. Police, RCMP, Court Records, DNA testing – you name it. And when and if they find the father , they coerce him, if they can into subsidising the mother and child. If he does, they deduct that subsidy from the ‘board’ money they were giving the mother. Of course that husband (Not a happy camper one would assume) now has access to the family – so mayhem often ensues. One big happy family – courtesy of the tax payer.

3) Or we could of course ignore the homeless and poor and blame them. After all they are always getting sick
